SEMA SPACE RETREAT is intended for past participants and friends on the Path who long for a deeper experience of Tasawwuf (Sufism) through Sema/Sama (listening, whirling meditation), Meshk (sacred song), Zikrullah (prayer of remembrance), Sohbet (spiritual discourse) and poetry.
We will be joined by many friends and teachers on the path including elder Semazenbashi Raqib Brian Burke from Vancouver Coast Salish BC with the assistance of Tawhida Tanya Evanson. Musical guests include Shams Al-Habib and others, Inshallah. We undertake this retreat in the lineage and with the destur of Rifa’i-Marufi Sheikh Sherif Baba Chatalkaya in Turkey. SUGGESTED DONATION: $200 (scholarships available)
ACCOMMODATION FEES FOR 2 NIGHTS: FREE in the Acoustic Amphitheatre; FREE camping; single room ($100/night) $200 total; shared room ($50/night) $100 total; shower only $20.
TRANSPORT: We will organize carpooling; there is also a bus service www.galland-bus.com
